Good afternoon Big Blue Nation. I’m sure you have already heard by now, but the Stanford grad transfer (above) Reid Travis has just announced his commitment to Kentucky.
Travis, who is 6 foot 8 and 245 pounds ranked third in the Pac-12 in scoring (19.5 PPG) and rebounding (8.7 RPG). He ranked the same in both categories last season. Travis declared for the NBA draft back in April but didn’t hire an agent. He missed most of the 2015-2016 season and was given a medical waiver by the NCAA. Now, he’s a Kentucky Wildcat.
We wondered if John Calipari had lost his recruiting touch back in March. Since that time, he’s added E.J. Montgomery (No. 1 PF in 2018), Ashton Hagans (reclassified No. 1 PG in 2018), Tyrese Maxey (No. 1 PG in 2019, replacing Hagans), and a McDonald’s All-American grad transfer in Reid Travis. One hell of a turnaround.
Here’s his announcement video. ARE YOU READY?
Here is Kentucky’s 2018-2019 roster as of now:
Kentucky vs. Duke in November is going to be one hell of a game.
